Value for money
The location of this hotel is fantastic, with fabulous views and an easy walk to nearby attractions. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast options were excellent. On top of that, the hotel maintained cleanliness and had all the necessary facilities in place.
Everything was spot on.
We had a fantastic stay here! The hotel's cleanliness was impeccable and the facilities were top-notch. The parking was convenient, and the hotel's location close to Ambleside and Grasmere made it easy to explore the area. We also loved that it was close to numerous places of interest. The breakfast provided was delicious and the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating.
Nothing, all great.
The hotel's location was perfect for exploring the beautiful Lake District, with popular walks right across the road. I could easily immerse myself in the stunning scenery and mountainous landscapes. Additionally, the hotel was conveniently situated next door to a historic attraction, adding a touch of charm to my stay. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and couldn't do enough for me. They made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. The facilities were top-notch, from the lovely decor in the room to the well-maintained gardens surrounding the hotel. I also appreciated the reasonable pricing for both drinks and food, with the highlight being the amazing red hummus and tortilla chips for starters.
Nothing, all excellent.
I had a fantastic stay at this unique 17th century pub/hotel. The creaky stairs and sloping floors added to its charm, and the original features made for a delightful experience. My room, Dora's Room, was spacious and comfortable, and I especially appreciated the large bath. The breakfast served at this hotel was hot, well presented, and delicious. The location of this hotel was amazing, with a fantastic view from the large window bay. It was also conveniently located across the road from the lake and near to poet William Wordsworth's home and other outstanding sites. The staff at this hotel were exceptional. From the moment I checked in, they went out of their way to make sure my dietary needs were met, which made a huge difference as I have allergies. Their attentiveness and helpfulness made my stay even more enjoyable.
Cannot find any fault.
I had a fantastic stay at a charming, quirky hotel with a great location. The hotel itself was clean and well-maintained, with excellent facilities including convenient parking and easy access to transportation. I loved the fact that the hotel was situated near a beautiful lake and surrounded by the stunning scenery of Rydal Hall. It was the perfect base for exploring the area and going on walks. One of the best bonuses was the opportunity to see Badgers in the evening, with a live web cam available inside the hotel. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the delicious breakfast added to the overall enjoyable experience.
Nothing that I didn't like.
